Money Manager analyses your expenses and income using the information from your current account and linked accounts. The budgeting tool can be used across all of your current accounts or credit cards – even if you don’t bank with us. With Money Manager you will be able to:
- Get a breakdown of your finances across all your current accounts
- Receive notifications and insights to keep you in control of your spending
- Create budgets for each category to help you spend less and save more
Simply log into the An Post Money mobile app as you normally would, and follow the 3 steps.
1. Look out for the pie icon on the right side of the app screen
2. You will be taken through a few explanatory screens
3. Accept the T&Cs and you're good to go

To create a new budget:
- Click ‘Create new budget’ on the Money Manager homepage.
- Select the expense categories you want to include.
- Name your budget, set an amount and a budget period.
- Click 'Create Budget' to save your changes.
- Go to the ‘All Accounts’ page and select the budget you would like to edit.
- Click on 'Edit' at the top right of the page to navigate to the 'Edit budget' page
- You can modify your budget name, category, budget amount and budget period.
- Click on 'Save changes' and An Post Money Manager will help you keep track of your spending.
If you think you no longer need a budget, you can delete your budget. You just need to

Money Manager generates messages called ‘Insights’ that let you know your spending trends and helps you improve your financial health. You can choose to see insights for all of your accounts, or selected ones only. You can also receive push notifications whenever insights are generated within Money Manager. You can access insights by following these simple steps:
1. Enable Money Manager push notifications in the notifications ‘Settings’ menu, which you can access through the top left burger menu on the app home page.
Click on ‘Notification preferences’ and scroll to the Money Manager section – change the tabs to Green for the notifications you would like to enable.

Before you close your old account, record the BIC and IBAN of all the people you are paying by Standing Orders. When you open your new An Post Money Current Account you can set up all new Standing Orders using the receiver’s BIC and IBAN you already recorded.
Once you download the An Post Money app and sign up, then select the ‘Linked’ tab on the app homepage and follow the steps onscreen. You will need to connect each of your 3rd party accounts one at a time.

Can I add my credit card?
Yes, An Post Money Manager can link your credit card from BOI, AIB or PTSB. Just go to the ‘Linked’ tab on the app home page and select your 3rd party bank where you have your credit card.
