This statue depicts the legendary warrior of Irish mythology, Cúchulainn. Though mortally wounded, he tied himself to a standing stone so that he might continue to face his enemies.
The original statue by Oliver Sheppard dates from 1911 but it was later adopted as a memorial to the 1916 Easter Rising and placed in the General Post Office.
One of our more popular gifts, the statue is ideal for any home or office. Standing 220mm tall, it is mounted on a wooden base with a name plate suitable for engraving and would provide an impressive centrepiece for any setting.
