Responsible Consumption and Production

We advocate for responsible production and consumption as we aim to minimise the environmental and social impacts of our products and services in our supply chain.

Overview

We believe that future generations have a right to live on an unspoilt planet. To leave a mark we can be proud of, we understand the importance of minimising the environmental and social impacts of the products and services throughout our supply chain. This guides how we work with hundreds of suppliers as we seek innovative and sustainable solutions to our needs.

The journey so far

In 2024 we achieved zero waste to landfill for a 7th consecutive year and achieved a primary recycling rate of 84%. We also introduced four new waste reduction initiatives—a paper reduction initiative, saving 1.35 tonnes of paper; food waste management, producting 385kg of compost at the DMC; a bottle deposit scheme, introduced in the employee restaurants; and an improvement in the recycled content in our pouches for business customers, with the recycled content rising from 40% to 80%.
