These two self-adhesive international stamps feature a Donore Handle which dates from the eighth century.
Found on a riverbank at Donore, County Meath, it is almost certainly the handle for a church door. It is one of a selection of objects that form part of our ninth definitive stamp series, A History of Ireland in 100 Objects. It was issued during Phase II of the series.
