Ireland's Pride Movement - First Day Cover

The variation in the title of the stamps aims to acknowledge the movement’s Irish and global communities. One stamp features the universal term, ‘Pride’, while the other stamp features the Irish translation of the word – ‘Bród’ – to recognise the distinct Irish Pride movement as part of an international grouping.

The flag and its constituent colours, which are a strong and potent symbol of the Pride movement, are also highlighted in the First Day Cover design. They reflect the movement’s aims – to celebrate and embrace diversity, give a voice to its followers and reach out to the wider community.
