Anyone can experience mental health issues, and many of us will go through this at some point in our life. People with mental health issues can feel isolated: that they are alone, that nobody understands what they are enduring, or that they should be ashamed.
By shining a light on the reality of mental health, we can reduce suffering, encourage those affected to seek help, and lessen stigma. As we do, we are building a society that is better for us all.
World Mental Health Day is marked on October 10th. We aim to further raise mental health awareness with two stamps, featuring richly evocative imagery.
Our R.O.S.E. ‘N’ stamp reflects a model developed to help people cope with mental health issues:
R - Reason, O - Optimism, S - Self-Identity and E – Empowerment.
Our tree-themed ‘N’ stamp reflects the fact that access to nature has a deeply positive impact on mental health, while trees themselves can be seen as symbols of shelter, growth, and self-development, all factors
that are crucial to good mental health.
These stamps remind us to care for our psychological well-being, and that support is available when things are hard.
