Cancer Awareness: Research and Care
On September 21 we issue two stamps with a focus on a hugely important public awareness
campaign that has relevance for many families and individuals throughout the country.
Cancer Awareness is the theme chosen for these ‘N’ denomination stamps, in an initiative being implemented by An Post in consultation with the Irish Cancer Society. The campaign and the stamps are designed to convey a message of hope and positivity in relation to the advances being made in cancer research and care in the community.
The stamp designs developed by the Zero G agency accentuate these features, typified by the titles used– ‘Hope in Research’ and ‘Strength in Community’.
It is hoped that people sending or receiving correspondence with these stamps will gain increased awareness of the many advances being made, both with regard to research and care and stimulate a positive conversation about this subject.
