An Post Commerce offers a national bulk mailing service at a discounted rate. Our Bulk Mail Service is the perfect solution for business customers who send large volumes of mail in the Republic of Ireland.
Domestic volume customers, who pay their postage by Ceadúnas or meter machine, can take advantage of one of our five discount services
These discounts apply to mail sent in the Republic of Ireland and vary depending on factors such as:
- speed of delivery required
- type and weight of item sent
- volume per mailing
We also offer separate discounts to volume posters of direct mail and publishers of magazines and periodicals.

We have three mail centres and 39 mail acceptance offices nationwide.
Our mail centres are located in:

How can I speed up my bulk mail deliveries?
We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) mail processing equipment which can sort through 40,000 pieces of mail per hour.
How quickly we can sort your post will determine how soon your mail gets to its destination. The speed at which our equipment sorts depends on a number of factors including:
- the accuracy and legibility of the address
- the font and spacing used in the address
- the colour, size and weight of the envelope
To speed up your delivery, follow these guidelines:
- Addresses should have a minimum spacing of 2mm and maximum spacing of 4mm between each line
- Do not use colour, italics, underlining or punctuation including commas in the address
- White and pastel-coloured envelopes provide the best background for OCR recognition while dark backgrounds such as red, blue or green are unsuitable and should not be used
- The recommended address font is Arial black text on a white background. Letter Gothic and Helvetica can also be used
