An Post App puts the ‘i’ back into mail

The An Post Mobile App lets users, track and trace that letter or parcel, find the nearest post office and calculate postage for everything from a postcard to a parcel all from their iPhone, iPad or iTouch.  The An Post app is free to download and lets users access An Post’s popular web services from their own device.

Among the services available on the new app are -

• Track my Item showing the progress of any bar-coded mail item from acceptance to delivery and its full tracking history along the way.
• Nearest Post Office which locates the nearest post office to your current location. Track your progress as you move with GPS and built-in compass. Map your route with the built-in map app and switch your view to the newly available in Ireland, Google street view. Also get opening times and services available in your local Post Office.  
• Check Postal Rates provides an easy way to calculate the postage of any mail item.

To download the An Post Mobile App go to the App Store. The App will be updated on a regular basis with new services to be added in the future. Already the App is ranked as the number one free Utility app in the App store.

The App was developed by An Post subsidiary Post Consult International (PCI) specialists in software solutions, database design, web development and systems integration.
