An Post buys out PMI partner

PMI was launched to support retail, financial services and business-to-consumer marketing services in the Irish consumer marketplace. Equifax, a major international operator in the same area, provided technical expertise during the early stages of the joint venture.
Mr Liam Sheehan, marketing manager of Letter Post said that it had always been the intention of An Post to establish the capabilities and services of PMI by using the database and marketing services of Equifax.
“We believe that newly focussed management will be beneficial to PMI in the long term, however the strong relationship between An Post and Equifax will continue in order to capitalise on further market opportunities.
“The acquisition of the Equifax holding in PMI and the recent purchase of KOMPASS, the business-to-business database business, is in line with our long-term plans for the development of direct marketing in this country,” Mr Sheehan added.
