Normal Service Resumes
Post Offices
- Post Offices are open for business as normal today, with the exception of a just few locations where work is underway on restoring IT communications.
- Social Welfare payments due from last week are available for collection today and throughout the week.
Letters and Parcels
- An Post Letter and Parcel deliveries and collections are returning to normal today with some exceptions in areas where access is still disrupted due to road conditions.
- We continue to monitor conditions locally and are doing everything possible to resume full for customers as soon as it is safe to do so.
- We are working to clear a backlog of mail in some parts of the country worst affected by weather conditions. We will clear all mail on hand by week's end

Service Update - Sunday 4th March
An Post will be working through the night to ensure a return to full delivery, collection and Post Office services wherever possible on Monday March 5th, subject to the safety of customers and staff.
It's likely that road conditions in some areas will continue to impede access and disrupt services.
We'll continue to monitor conditions locally and we'll do everything possible to resume normal Retail, Letter and Parcel services for customers.
Updates will be available throughout Monday at anpost.ie and @postvox and Facebook and through national/local media.
Service update - Saturday 3rd March - 10.10am
Wherever possible post offices are open today subject to road conditions, safety and logistics.
We expect that conditions in the Orange and Red zones will prevent many post offices from opening.
Social welfare payments due for payment in recent days can be collected next week, when road conditions are less dangerous for drivers and pedestrians.
Service update - Saturday 3rd March
Due to weather and treacherous road conditions, post offices are expected to remain closed today in areas subject to red, orange and yellow weather alerts.
In other areas, wherever possible, Post Offices will open this morning, subject to road conditions, customer and staff safety and logistics.

Letters and Parcels
- All Letter and Parcel collection and delivery services within counties Dublin, Louth, Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, Waterford, Wexford and Cork have been suspended until further notice.
- Mail services in other parts of the country will be suspended by 1pm today. until further notice.
Advice regarding mails services will be updated in due course with due regard for staff safety and the advice provided by the National Emergency Coordination Group.
Post Offices
Thursday
- Where weather conditions and public transport allow, Post Offices will open this morning.
- ALL post offices will close at 1pm and remain closed tomorrow (Friday) and until further notice.
- An Post reminds all customers due to collect social welfare payments at Post Offices that their payments will be available for collection when this period of bad weather passes – please stay safe and do not make unnecessary journeys.

Letters and Parcels
- All Letter and Parcel services within the current Red Alert Zone counties have been suspended (Dublin, Louth Wicklow, Kildare, Meath) until further notice.
- Mail collection and delivery services will be continued in other parts of the country, subject to local management discretion and with due regard for staff safety and the advice provided by the National Emergency Coordination Group.
- An Post will continue to closely monitor local weather and road conditions for the rest of the day and overnight.
- Advice regarding mails services over the coming days will be updated in due course
Post Offices
Today (Wednesday)
- Every effort has been made to maintain services at Post Offices in the Red Alert Zone today however all Post Offices will close no later than 3pm today (Wednesday).
- Where possible depending on local weather, road conditions and logistics, Post Offices will remain open in other counties for the rest of today.
Thursday
- Where possible, Post Offices in the Red Alert Zone will be open from 9am – 1pm tomorrow (Thursday). In other areas, normal services will be maintained where possible and depending on local weather and road conditions.
- An Post reminds all customers due to collect social welfare payments at Post Offices that their payments will be available for collection when this period of bad weather passes – please stay safe and do not make unnecessary journeys.
