An Post staff dressed for success

8 July 2015

Some 600 counter staff across An Post’s 51 main post offices have taken delivery of a range of top quality workwear to match the company’s ongoing investment in the national post office network. Industry experts and the staff themselves helped to design the new workwear with comfort and a professional look in mind. The final design was given a major ‘thumbs up’ by staff finding it both smart and stylish.

An Post’s Retail Operations Director John Daly said the new collection is in line with An Post’s ongoing  investment in its network which has seen a number of offices renovated or relocated and new ‘access’ counters introduced for all new offices. ‘We are a leading national company and the new range of workwear matches and enhances our brand.’

‘The involvement of staff in the design process was very important and I am certain that they will wear their new workwear with pride, representing An Post as a modern and progressive organisation’, he said.

All staff have, this week, received their new work wardrobe, female staff are wearing an ensemble which includes a patterned blouse, with a skirt or trousers, cardigan and jacket. Their male colleagues took delivery of a shirt, jacket and knitwear, belt and tie. All material has been issued with detailed wear and care instructions.

A key feature of the rollout of the new workwear has been a major national logistics operation which involved the distribution of the new apparel and the collection of the old workwear for recycling and safe disposal. An Post’s outdoor delivery staff took delivery of a new range of workwear in 2011.
