Angel unveils An Post Christmas stamp

The 68c self-adhesive stamp, in booklets of 26, is available now at all post offices priced €17 (one stamp free) and was designed by Dublin’s Vermillion Design.

Two Christmas stamps featuring magnificent Harry Clarke stained windows are available now in all denominations at Post Offices, including €1.00, the rate for airmail postage to all destinations outside the island of Ireland.  The images featured are of an Angel with Lute which is located in Millstreet Parish Church in Co Cork and the Infant Christ is located in St Patrick’s Church in Co Mayo.

Clarke, born in Dublin in 1889, studied at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art as a night student and became renowned for his stained glass design.

The stamps are available at all Post Offices, the stamp shop in Dublin’s GPO and online at www.irishstamps.ie
