Christmas stamps celebrate Light and Joy
18 November 2024
An Post’s new Christmas stamps celebrate festive traditions which bring joy and light to all with beautiful illustrations such as a Christmas Pudding, a Festive House, a Christmas Market, a nativity scene, a Dove of Peace and Christmas shepherds.
The Christmas stamps are available in two booklets: A booklet of 17 ‘N’ rate (national) stamps for sending within the island of Ireland at a special price of €19.99 and a booklet of 5 ‘W’ rate (worldwide) stamps for posting anywhere in the world (€11). There’s a further €2 discount when you buy both booklets together at any post office or online at the Christmas Hub – anpost.com/Christmas (with free delivery).
Customers can also buy a pack of 17 colourful Irish-designed Christmas cards together with the 17-stamp booklet for an all-in price of €29.95.
An Post says that sending a card is the best way to let someone know you are thinking of them this Christmas so they are sharing the magic of Christmas and the great tradition of sending love near and far with great-value stamps, cards and posting options.
“Your card could mean the world to someone and make all the difference to them in the lead up to Chrismas this year. With special discounts on Irish Christmas stamps, cards, and handy posting boxes, we want to make it easy and enjoyable for everyone to send Chistmas love to family and friends at home and abroad this year”, says spokesperson Anna McHugh.
Young Irish designer, Faye Larkin and agency, Boys + Girls designed this year’s Christmas stamps while the Christmas cards were designed by Irish artist, Hephee.
Customers are advised to keep an eye on the Latest dates of Posting with December 5th the latest date to be sure of card and parcel delivery to far flung locations such as the Australia, New Zealand and Asia – a full list of latest posting dates is available at https://www.anpost.com/Christmas
