Customer first at new Swords Post Office

The new office is located at Swords Central Shopping Centre (beside Penney’s) and replaces the former Post Office at the nearby Plaza. The new office is a major investment by An Post in Swords and underlines An Post’s commitment to top class customer services in North Dublin.

The new post office is a major addition to Swords thriving town centre and features include

• a fresh modern retail space
• longer opening hours (see below)
• specially dedicated customer zones for Financial Services, Postfone etc
• additional speedy self-service postage and stationery vending facilities, mobile phone top-ups and an in-store ATM machine,
• Online retail kiosks linking customers with online facilities such as www.iloveshopping.ie
• In store customer service advisors.

Speaking at the opening of the new Swords Post Office, An Post Retail Director, John Daly said ‘’Swords is a major urban centre and vibrant retail location so where better to open such a flagship operation.  The new Swords office will match all that is best about the post office with a new, fresh and modern approach”.

A key feature of the office will be the absence of screens at the post office counter.  The installation of high-tech cash dispensers is a new security feature enabling staff and customers to meet in secure and friendly surroundings. An Post is harnessing the latest technology to further improve post office security. 

The new Swords Post office will offer extended opening hours:  9am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 8pm Thursday/Friday, 9 to 6 on Saturday and 12 Noon until 5pm on Sunday.
