Researched and illustrated by leading Irish philatelic artist, Vincent Killowry, the stamp may be viewed and purchased at www.irishstamps.ie;  at main post offices and at the GPO, Dublin.  A €3 stamp has also been produced.

From this Friday, August 17 until its return to Denmark next Summer, the reconstructed ship will be on display as part of the National Museum’s permanent Viking exhibition Sea Stallion – Dublin’s Warship Comes Home.   The exhibition gives an insight into daily life in Dublin from c.800AD to c.1150AD through artefacts from a variety of archaeological excavations including Wood Quay.
