The post office will provide a variety of regular postal and specially customised services to scouts attending the international scouting festival, which is being run by Scouting Ireland and celebrates 100 years of scouting in Ireland.
Ciara Sheridan, Senior Marketing Executive of An Post explains "The Jamboree post office will offer a wide variety of services to the 10,000 Irish and international scouts attending the 9 day Jamboree and as a special addition to our regular services we are offering the the opportunity to scouts to make their own Troop Photo Postcard. Scout troops can have a group photograph taken which will be turned into a postcard and sent home to their friends and parents".
Services available at the Jamboree post office include: Top Up for all mobile phone networks with NO commission fee; a Mobile Phone Charger; cash withdrawal for Postbank and AIB customers; Western Union money transfer; postal services including 100 Years in Scouting commemorative stamps; a commemorative postcard for sending to family and friends and One4All Gift Vouchers.
