Unofficial Industrial Action Closes Post Offices

Sub Post Offices are open for business as normal with the exception of Sandymount, Dublin 4, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 and Fassaugh Avenue, Dublin 7.

The following post offices will remain closed today as a result of this unofficial action:
Dublin: GPO , St. Andrew St., Sth Anne St., Rathmines, Phibsboro, Blanchardstown Centre, Blackrock, Dun Laoire, James`s St., Ballsbridge. Tallaght;
Cork: GPO, Macroom, Youghal, Cobh.
Limerick: GPO
Co Clare: Shannon Town
Monaghan: Castleblayney
Mayo: Ballinrobe
Customers in receipt of book based welfare payments may collect their payments at any neighbouring Sub Post Office. Unfortunately, this unofficial action by members of the CWU renders impossible the payment of unemployment benefit to customers using swipe cards.
